History – from "Schiff" to the de’ Medici and back.
The building of the Schiffli in Rapperswil is located in the historic core of Rapperswil’s old town, which has been the heart of the city for centuries. With the renovation, we gave the house a revitalizing makeover—much like a ship that is carefully restored and set back onto the water. From the outside, it proudly shows its history. Inside, it surprises with modern comfort and a touch of maritime lightness.

The first mention in a property record belonging to Siegfried Domeisen and Robert Walcher dates back to 1610. Heinrich Müller, a baker by profession, is the earliest known owner of the house. There is mention of fish production and fishing rights.

With Seevogt AG, a group of locally rooted investors from Rapperswil-Jona takes over the building, and a renovation project begins to create modern, urban serviced apartments. As part of this, the building’s technical systems are brought up to the latest standards, and the building is refreshed and strengthened.
